JamieHello, my name is Jamie Light and I am the director of New Hope Outdoors. I am 33 years old and I have been hunting and fishing since I was a very young child at the age of 6. I love to hunt, hike, fish, or do anything else, that allows me to enjoy the beauty of Gods creation. I have harvested several deer in my life and I love to hunt deer more than any other animal. I have not harvested as many Turkey, but I still love the chase and hearing those Tom's gobble. I was able to harvest my second turkey with a bow this past spring. What an adrenaline rush that was.  I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to contact me via our contact page. May God bless each and every one of you.

JimI'm Jim Light, Jamie's dad, & "Pa" to Claude, Emily, Conner & Seth. I grew up in the farm land of southern Ohio where I fished ponds & hunted rabbits, squirrels & quail with my Dad, Grandpa & brother. If I wasn't farming or doing chores, I was exploring the woods & creeks. I'm thankful that God has allowed me to hunt with 5 generations of my family. My time in the woods now is spent chasing the wild turkey & white tail deer. I've not been successful at deer hunting but I still enjoy every minute I spend in God's great outdoors. Being on the New Hope Outdoors team has blessed my life with fellowship, meeting new friends & seeing decisions made for Christ. This is my prayer, "As part of this team, may I continue to see people accept Jesus as Savior, & may I always walk out of the woods closer to God than when I walked in."

Fred

I'm Fred Caines.  I've been an advid hunter for over 25 years, and was introduced to the sport by my dad as a child. My favorite game to hunt is Deer, Moose, and Duck, and my wife likes to eat all three of these, which is a plus! Bow hunting for Deer in Ohio is fantastic, those critters are smart. It's a good thing there are lots of them. I gave Turkey hunting a try this past spring and it was a blast. I didn't get one but it sure was fun. Maybe God will bless me with harvesting a big gobbler on film this year. I put my trust in Jesus many years ago. He's never let me down and has blessed me with a wonderful family and friends. Get to know Jesus, He's in that tree stand with you every time you go out, you won't find a better friend and hunting companion than Him.

Jim-BuckMy name is Jim Evans and I've been a lover of the outdoors my entire life. That love started with picking berries with my mom and continued to hunting squirrels with my brothers. I've been a deer hunter more than 30 years and I've recently begun hunting turkey. I am generally a happy person, but I am never happier or more at home than when I am outside.

tomdeerMy Name is Tom Pierce-Ruhland.  I have been shooting pistols and rifles for years (target, combat simulation), but I am relatively new to hunting and archery.  I have found a love for the sport and the people who do it, and these days, I rarely pick up my guns.  I'll reach for the bow in a second!  There is nothing like being in God's outdoors.  I love the feeling of soaking in a sunrise, and just listening to the quiet beauty of it all.  God's amazing creation speaks volumes, and it is my hope that this site allows people to catch a small glimpse of that splendor.  I am also the website administrator, so if you have any technical issues with the site please don't hesitate to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Hello my name is Artie Overla, I have loved the outdoors since my grandfather took me fishing, when I was seven years old. I have hunted small game like rabbit, squirrel, and quail since I was old enough to shoot a gun. I always feel closer to God when I am in the outdoors in His wonderful creation. I was truly blessed last year when my friend and co-worker Jim Evans introduced me to Jamie Light and the whole New Hope Outdoors Staff. They guided and helped me harvest my first deer this year, but what is most important, they brought me closer to our Lord And Savior, Jesus Christ. I feel very blessed to be a part of this wonderful team.
